Using the ADuCM3029 EZ-KIT for Cortex-M3

The purpose of this lab is to introduce you to the Analog Devices ADuCM3029
EZ-KIT using the ARM/Keil MDK toolkit and uVision IDE. The Beep example program
included in the AnalogDevices::ADuCM3024x_DFP pack demonstrates the downloading
and debugging to on-board Flash memory. All examples are compliant to Cortex
Microcontroller Software Interface Standard (CMSIS 5.0).

The ADuCM3029 EZ-KIT board, power supply and either a ULINK2, ULINK-ME, ULINKPro,
the new ULINKplus, J-Link or J-Link(Lite) (included with the kit) are required for
downloading and debugging.

ARM Compiler 6 is based on new technology and new code base.  It enables efficient code generation, better diagnostics and faster feature development, coupled with ARM’s compiler backend expertise.  The latest version:

 ·         Offers significant advantages with scope for new functionality and great optimization.

 ·         Covers all aspects of migration from Compiler 5.

 ·         Supports ARMv6-M and all ARMv7 and ARMv8 architectures.

 ·         Enables you to build applications for the ARM family of processors from C, C++ or assembly language source.

Serial Wire Viewer (SWV) is a data trace feature found on many ARM Cortex-M3, M4, M7, M23, and M33 processors. This note describes how to take advantage of the UART communications capabilities in the CoreSight™ Serial Wire Viewer to determine the CPU frequency. SWV Data trace frames are output on the Serial Wire Output (SWO) pin at a bit rate that is a ratio of the CPU core clock. An adjustable divider configures the bit rate of the UART in the range of the debug adapter.
